Undercover FBI agent and former Marine Frank Castle (Jane) is devastated when his wife and children are killed when they accidentally witness a mafia hit. With nothing left to lose, he decides to dedicate himself fully to the eradication of crime from America, as an army, assassin, judge and jury all rolled up into one man: The Punisher. The Punisher first sets his sights on the crime syndicate that was responsible for the murders of his family. Along the way, his vendetta quest leads to the son of Howard Saint (Travolta), a former underworld boss who had gone straight, but the death of his son leads him to get back into crime, and he's gunning for the Punisher. The Punisher aka Frank Castle revenges the death of his family in true style with a arsenal of weapons and gadgets. Great action packed film, where Frank dispatches the villains with ease, a little bit of humour thrown in also for good measure. Amazing what a blow torch, chunk of sirloin and a lolly pop can do to make somebody talk. Well worth a watch.

Tom Janes portrayal is one you can fall in love with. The Punishers plan to defeat his villain may be rather elaborate but the awesome action and emotionally compelling story will excuse any flaws in this movie!

Tom Jane is awesome in this role! Brilliantly comedic. So Travolta is hammy, hey - this isn't promising Shakespeare! It is very diverting fun, though.
