Acerca deste filme

Following immediately after the event of THE RAID: REDEMPTION, Rama (Iko Uwais) is forced to reinvent himself as an undercover cop in order to provide protection for his wife and child. Working for the anti-corruption task force led by the one person he can trust, Bunawar, he is given a mission to engage himself as an enforcer for a local mob boss, Bangun. Finding a way in through Bangun's son Uco, Rama must hunt for information linking Bangun with the police force corruption. All the while, he harbors a dangerous and personal vendetta for revenge and justice that threatens to consume him and bring both this mission and the organized crime syndicates crashing down.

I thought the first film was pretty enjoyable nonsense and based on the reviews and star rating on here I thought I was in for pretty much the same thing.. how wrong was I... after trying to stick with the lame gangster storyline and below par fight scenes I finally gave in and stopped the film. Clearly this film is trying to cash in on the first one, when frankly they should have just left it well alone!

The Raid 2 starts in the immediate aftermath of the The Raid and expands on the theme of the alliance between organised crime and corruption in high places. Rama has to go undercover to infiltrate a long established crime family in the hope of gathering evidence of this alliance. However tensions within the family makes progress far more dangerous than anticipated. While the film had top notch fight sequences and expanded on a credible plot, I feel it tried to cram too much into the film. Characters came and went without any explanation of who they where or why they were there. I think there was actually two films worth in this that could have been more sparing on the action and bigger on the tension.

Nothing more to be said that people with good taste haven't said already. But there's a problem with subtitles showing from 39:35 to 40:09 where the scene is without dialogue and so these subtitles spoil a later moment for when that later scene plays the same subtitles show up again matching this later scene.
