Intriguing plot and thought provoking themes. Very interesting to see a different perspective on the Burma railway. Some beautiful moments where everything came together, but I felt the pacing and dialogue missed the mark too often to maintain suspension of disbelief. Cinematography felt rather forced in places, as did the jumbled timelines. I feel like if they shot this again it'd be a 5 star film... Imperfect, but worth watching.

Interesting insights into the horrors of war and the capacity for forgiveness. Challenging yet rewarding to watch.

Wonderful movie, the power of forgiveness is an amazing thing, Colin Firth is brilliant as Eric Lomax, a must watch.
