About this movie

The mission: Destroy a disabled U.S. submarine to keep it from falling into North Korean hands. An elite team of Navy SEALs (Sea, Air, Land Specialists), headed by Charles Haid and Edward Albert succeeds - but is unexpectedly captured by enemy forces. The U.S. government, to avoid an explosive political situation, writes off the imprisoned men as expendable. But the captive men's courageous, relentless kids don't want their fathers to become pawns in a deadly game of diplomacy. Led by Kevin Dillon and Marc Price, these daring, ragtag heroes take a death-defying course of action. Armed with a stolen copy of the government's abandoned rescue plan, they blast their way into a suspense-filled, edge-of-your-seat adventure!

We owned this film on VHS and I used to watch it with family. It was the perfect family war film haha . Sometimes movies like this don't stand up to nostalgic memories and a lot of times turn out to be really corny when you see them again as an adult , but not this movie. The Rescue is a quality production. Good actors , good story , memorable music. Just a solid movie.

Everyone this movie has never been released on DVD I do not know how to make a petition to have it released someone please do this it's a wonderful movie they only have it out on VHS for those of you that don't know what VHS is it's video tape please help bring this movie to DVD.

I have always loved this movie! It probably is not cool to admit that but I have. Totally unrealistic but I do not care. Would watch again and again.....
