Lex is a writer obsessed with the paranormal, which is why for her birthday, her three closest friends decide to take her on a surprise trip to an abandoned resort in Hawaii. The resort is the supposed haunt of infamous ghost, The Half-Faced Girl, and Lex is determined to find her. After a recreational afternoon of hiking, swimming, and drinking, they finally arrive at the resort. It is massive, beautiful, and eerily empty. They head to room 306, where the Half-Faced Girl is known to reside, and end up unable to leave in time to make the last boat back to the mainland. From there, they are left at the mercy of the evil spirit.

Damn, that movie had everything going for it in the set up. I love a bad horror movie and love ghost stories and abandoned properties, so I was amped for this one but it belly flopped so hard that even the flies went "ouch". The actors had absolutely no chemistry (even playing friends) and Brock looked really out of place. Even the comedic quips just didn't land. I don't normally notice editing and sound on a movie but I even noticed how bad those were too.

Believe it or not, I've seen worse. This one wasn't really that bad I guess, but it wasn't that good either. Could actually be funny if I were drunk. There's absolutely nothing at all scary about it. And they really just absolutely destroyed that ending.

ZERO Stars...that really needs to be an option. Wish I read the reviews, before renting...I did watch the Trailer, and thought it would be a pretty good movie. Not great, but good. Just over 18 minutes in, and I just can't take the torture anymore. The story itself may end up being good, but the acting is worse than I can describe...and is making me cringe so hard, I am physically in pain. I requested a refund. I never do that! I hope it's approved.
