Sweet, beautifully told story based on the classic story about a lonely orphan girl who goes to live with her uncle in a forbidding British manor house. There she finds friendship and happiness when she discovers a wonderous, deserted, secret garden that is brought back to life in her magical hands. Starring Academy Award and Tony Award-winner Maggie Smith and directed by Academy Award-nominee Agnieszka Holland ("Europa, Europa).

The directing and acting are all good. But I preferred the garden in the 1987 version. This is just a personal preference. One thing I do felt leave room for improvement, is how Dickon's role was downplayed, as if he is just a tool, not a 3-dimensional character; and how his mother Mrs Sowerby was completely left out.

Una obra de arte hermosa en la combinación de cada detalle ♥️ en especial la banda sonora. Con mi familia todos coincidimos en que es una joya del cine, superior a cualquier película que hayamos visto. Es tranquila y cada escena te atrapa con su belleza en todo sentido. Recomendable para toda la familia.

Moim zdaniem jest to jeden z najlepszych filmów familijnych. Agnieszka Holland udowodniła, że potrafi kręcić nie tylko mroczne opowieści o II wojnie światowej. Również gra dziecięcych aktorów jest bardzo dobra i nie rzuca się w oczy infantylnością. Polecam każdemu.
