The animation is very well done especially during action shots; the scenery looks more realistic. It very lightly touches on some subjects that can hard to discuss with children such as what happens to pets when their owners die and what happens to the animals that end up in pounds. Overall I don't feel there was anything that made this film stand out, but it did its job at being a good family movie that was fun to watch.

This movie was spot on, truly captured the heart & essence of animals when left alone. So many quick funny moments that you will miss if not paying close attention to details. Gidget's adorable infatuation with Max cracks me up. Lots of other characters with great personalities. Im glad this was different than all the other redundant Movie plots (zootopia) which i can predict. I do recommend. Loved the heavy metal music listening Poodle lol

If I had to pick one word to sum up this film, I would choose "lazy." The story is meaningless and dull. The protagonists have a few short moments of character development, but most of the time they don't have any reason to act the way they do aside from plot convenience. The slew of side characters are completely one-dimensional and instantly forgettable. Even the antagonists have less depth than most Looney Tunes villains. If you've seen the trailers, you truly have seen all the good parts of this movie.
