I am surprised how funny this one is. My wife said she wanted to watch it. I was neutral. I wasn't expecting it to be entertaining/funny. I'm glad I checked it out. The animation is crisp. The style may be a little on the obtuse/clunky side, but that is a stylistic choice; and it works in favor of the humor. Keep in mind that I am not jaded/spoiled by the industry per I don't watch many movies; I don't watch tv at all. Hence, take my review from that perspective. I am appreciative of the effort put into the animation and the story telling. Big fan of the 'don't coddle your kids' message. The antagonist was not fleshed out enough, but he served his purpose. I laughed throughout the entire movie, which is rare for me. Good job!

The Secret Life Of Pets 2 manages but falls a bit short of the great first. No sausage daydream, but another funny day dream. An epic dog jump onto a train, yes. Interestingly it has 3 plots going on at once. Comedy with this one falls a bit short of the first. As you can see, i'm mixed on this one. Maybe 3 and a half or getting closer to it. I don't know.
