Thirteen-year-old orphan Maria Merryweather (Dakota Blue Richards, The Golden Compass) is sent away to live with her eccentric uncle, Sir Benjamin (Ioan Gruffudd, Fantastic Four) at the mysterious Moonacre Manor. Although crumbling apart, Moonacre Manor and the surrounding lands are a place of magic and wonderment, and before long Maria finds herself a part of an ancient feud with the sinister De Noir family. As she unravels ever more of the mystery that surrounds her lineage, and with the help of a few colourful characters and fantastical beasts, Maria must reclaim her family's honor and fight for its legacy lest it be turned to dust. From the director of Bridge to Terabithia and featuring a deliciously villainous performance by Tim Curry, The Secret of Moonacre is an enchanting journey into the realm of the imagination.
