In the taut thriller, when Nancy (Blake Lively) is surfing on a secluded beach, she finds herself on the feeding ground of a great white shark. Though she is stranded only 200 yards from shore, survival proves to be the ultimate test of wills, requiring all of Nancy’s ingenuity, resourcefulness, and fortitude.

Good for watching with friends as entertainment. Story is hidden behind layers of metaphors making it seem like a dumb shark attack movie unless you can see what the director's actually trying to say. Overall I enjoyed it's surprisingly modest and humbling metaphorical honesty.

Some tense moments but for the most part it felt like the impotance was placed on getting good sports illustrated style footage of blake in various flattering poses. As beautiful as she is I would have rathered a more gritty, gory tale and the ending was absolute pants.

Really entertaining, feels like a teen horror movie. Like that it features a female actress for the main character and she is very relatable and you root for her all the way through.
