Dreary politically correct Hollywood drivel, almost as bad as Spielberg. An extra star though for the precious few seconds of the TV show Mr Ed, the best part of this sentimental film. Whatever the Russkies were saying in the film was not shared with the audience via subtitles for some reason, and they were conversing for awhile. The 16 rating is rather excessive.

No offense, Guillermo, I love the story. But Google set it back a bit when it did not provide English subtitles on the Russian scenes. I got the whole narrative, of course, but it's not like some abstract nor artistic value of the movie where you do not mind things not being explained to you. So those translations are necessary. Kinda makes me think of a refund, I mean if Google does not update with proper subtitles!!!

I rather liked this film. The plot was pretty uncomplicated and I liked how atmospheric/immersive the film was. There was an almost dreamlike feel about this film which allowed me to suspend disbelief. The ending was bittersweet because on the one hand I loved that it had a happy outcome for the couple, but on the other hand, both Giles and the other cleaner lady were still stuck in their unhappy lives. I really felt for them, too. And like everyone else said, I didn't understand what was going on with the Russians. They decided to kill Dmitri because of his betrayal, was that it? Didn't understand it. Still a good film though. It left me feeling peaceful.
