It is a brilliant movie, there is a review suggesting Andy Dufresne was guilty of the murder of his wife and her lover, dumb is the uneducated thinking they are, it is more than clear he is an innocent man and those that think otherwise should stick to romantic comedies or cartoons.

Do yourself a favour and read Different Seasons (and the Bachman books while you're at it)!

It starts of slowish but, it build up very well and keeps you in the seat until the very end. I love a good ending and this movies build up to the end was fastastic
