From the first time I watched the Shawshank Redemption, I could never forget about it. Not the story, not main protagonist Andy DuFresne, not Red, nor that evil, disgusting, and evil Warden Norton. Nor the phenomenal messages within. Also, loved how bitter karma found its way to the corrupt warden's office door. Andy not only got back in the best possible way, he also found his way out after years of unjust conviction and imprisonment. I enjoyed this before and would probably enjoy it again.

An inspiring film. This is my second time watching it, and will never get bored watching for a few more times. It tells a story of a banker who became a black sheep serves his twenty years in prison, where he suffered from mistreatment and violence and successfully broke up with his talents and tenacity. Despite all the coincidences for story-telling purpose, the power of education is highlighted throughout the film, from the main character's transition from a laundry worker to a librarian, a tax filer and the warden's accountant, to that young fella who is sees his future with a new earn high school diploma but unfortunately shot by the corrupted prison guard. An educated man, as this film dramatize, can control his fate regardless of his circumstances.

A timely classic that can really hit you to the core of you've ever been in a similar type of situation in life. Or if you can picture yourself in the storyline... The narration by "Morgan Freeman"(Red). Is great! He has a convincing voice that you'll think that he was there in prison & later on the beach. Tim Robbins is wonderful in his role as "Andy Dufresne"..... I've watched it countless times (100+). I never get tired of watching/listening to it while resting. Glad that it was filmed in the old prison in Mansfield Ohio before being demolished or shuttered in moth balls. I recommend first reading the book by "Stephen King. Then watch the movie. Or listen to the audiobook. Either way is going to hit you like you're right there.
