Academy Award winner Jack Nicholson and Shelley Duvall star in director Stanley Kubrick's disturbing adaptation of Stephen King's blockbuster horror novel. When writer Jack Torrance (Nicholson)--who has a history of alcoholism and child abuse--takes a job as winter caretaker for a hotel high in the Rocky Mountains, he, his wife (Duvall) and their psychic young son will be isolated until spring. But once the first blizzard closes the road out, the accumulated power of evil deeds committed at the hotel begins to drive Jack mad. Now there may be no escape for his wife and son in this haunting madness, memory and family violence.

This is in fact the second listing of this film on this Store as of June 2020. Unfortunately for everyone like me who bought the previous listing of The Shining, they will not be getting it upgraded into 4K like this listing of an otherwise great movie. Fix it, stop longing off your customers.

Kubrick's cinematic genius, King's gripping storyline and exceptional performances by Nicholson, Devall, Lloyd and Crothers make this a must see psychological horror. Conversion to 4K UHD just brings a masterpiece forward to this century.

One of my all time fav movies, seen loads of times never disappoints even knowing what's coming next..
