Eugh! The 2 stars is purely for the cast and the scenery. I'd just finished reading the book by DeWitt, its an excellent book, an epic, captivating and heart felt saga. So I was excited to see what the film, especially given the cast. For the reviewers that disliked the film, don't let the film put you off the book - its fantastic. I appreciate that the condensed timeframe allowable for a film doesn't allow for every aspect of the book to be told. The storyline of the book lent itself well to film adaptation, yet the film was just plain old dull. It felt like the producers had cherry picked and tried to fit a little of one part or another in and done all of them badly. Despite it being a two hour film, I really didn't feel like you got to know any of the characters at all, the scenes seemed rushed and shallow. The first of the two stars is for the cast, who by all accounts are excellent actors and even they couldn't make the plot any good. And the second was for the beautiful scenery and composed shots showing the landscape. Such a shame as it could have been so much better.

always wanted a western film style this way brillant acting aslo abit of a history lesson for everyone jake shoot be in more films make life 2 about jake syncing him with alien making him indestructible by bullets wiping human racer while the human race begins to be underground bunker out of steel to keep the indestructible alien life form out while alien is causing a huge massacred againts human race awhile the rich build there bunker the others will eventually die but jake still use his head
