The Smurfs are back with this follow-up to the blockbuster smash hit from 2011. J. David Stem and David Weiss provide the script, from a story they wrote with Jay Scherick and David Ronn.

It was very cute and an ok kid's movie BUT... it fell short everytime with achieving an entertaining scene. It just jumps around too much to rather random things and it doesn't flow nicely. My 2 year old son seemed to think the same thing because it seemed like he'd start getting into it... then sigh in frusteration when it would switch to another scene. It needed more of the cat!! ^__^ Why can't they just make the movie about that cat!? Lol

The sequel seems to be focused more on graphics rather then trying to develop a good and enticing plot. The movie was bland and fell short on expectations. The characters and voices are yet again uninteresting and forgettable. The realistic animation still looks creepy and hasn't really changed since the first one. Great job Sony. 👏👏👏

Too many average computer graphic scenes, not enough story or anticipation. My 6,8 and 3 yr old were bored and didn't sit through this movie.
