Just Visiting
There's no point in spending too many words on how disappointing this puppy love story can be for most, or how unfortunate it is that they've turned to Hollywood to help them perpetuate a lie (well, not that this would be entirely new...). Much more could be said about one particular aspect of the storyline, which turns out to be quite true. That there are indeed many Gardners over there, of whom NASA prefers not to talk...

A very engaging story and plausible story line. The characters were very well developed with the interaction between the teen friends was spot on. The excellent bit of misdirection for one point of the storyline even fooled me for most of the movie. Overall it was very sweet and fresh. Asa Butterfield did an outstanding job portraying Gardener - he really does have some acting chops despite a couple of bumps in the road of his acting career (and he's turning into a really cute young man - a less angular faced "Benedict Cumberbatch" type). I really related to his character's "weirdness" - growing up around highly intelligent people with little influence from media and society leads to some refreshing eccentricities.
