Complex, reflective & funny, 'The Square' highlights how we deal with difficult professional and personal decisions and everyday emotions. Christian is clearly thoughtful, but can't seem to identify the right thing to do at first. His impulse is usually wrong, and he later tries to rectify each situation, only to be too late, or not have the right words. It is all too human, all too reflective, and all too real. The story revolves around the staff and halls of a gorgeous museum, and the work that goes into running, promoting, and staging exhibitions. It shines a humorous light on the art world, which is one of the most subtle yet hilarious threads in this film.
