Writer/director Noah Baumbach was nominated for an Academy Award® for his screenplay for this multi-award-winning film that captures the inner workings of a family in crisis in 1986 Brooklyn. Academic and author Bernard (Jeff Daniels in a Golden Globe-nominated performance) and his restless wife, Joan (Laura Linney), an up-and-coming writer, have given up on their marriage. It's familiar with a stellar cast,The family in the 70'S and on Netflix 4 free

Interesting throughout -- excellent character development. Difficult to script an ending for a plotless movie.
