stupid movie, i love dylan walsh, sela ward, and amber heard but just awful compared to the original 1987 version starring terry quinn i love the sequels to the original also but this 2009 so called white trash of an attempted remake is a disgrace to the horror and ceime drama genres and i say tgat strongly as a huge movie fan.

I saw the old version too. Whenever me and my girlfriend bring up The Stepfather movies we both say in unison " Wait a minute - who am I here? And start rolling! Cause we loved when he said that each movie cause IRS funny! He changes identity so much he forgets who he is! Both movies terrific! The original stars a man Terry O Quinn Watch both Stepfather's - you won't be disappointed!! I watch each over now and then - I lime them that much!!

Oh absolutely! Watch it! The one from the 80's was even better! Its comical when he says wait a minute who am I here? My girlfriend and I still laugh at that even now.
