When Cindy (Christina Hendricks) and her husband, Mike (Martin Henderson), take their rebellious teenage daughter Kinsey (Bailee Madison) and son Luke (Lewis Pullman) on a road trip, what began as an ordinary, gripe-filled family excursion soon becomes their worst nightmare come to life. Upon arrival at a secluded mobile home park, a knock on their trailer door leads to an inescapable night of terror as three masked strangers, with inexplicable deadly intentions, force this fractured family to come together and fight for their lives.

Ratings and reviews

Mindless slasher movie with no real plot as is evident when the lead asks "why are you doing this". Acting is okay, but characters are dumb as hell. Why when you have a gun pointed at the villain who killed your mum, do you not shoot on sight. Why when you get in the police do you not radio for more help. Its a frustrating helpless / useless victim movie. All in all 3 stars, it's not terrible, it's ok.

The actors did their best with what they had, but being as there is no decent plot, they're efforts can't make up for a weak, thoughtless and tired storyline. Also, at some points the obvious 'padding' to fill the time frame leads to ridiculously laughable and implausible occurrences.

Not bad at all. Decent acting and lot more entertaining than the 1st one.
