Starring Eddie Redmayne ("Les Misérables") and Felicity Jones ("The Amazing Spider-Man 2"), this is the extraordinary story of one of the world's greatest living minds, the renowned astrophysicist Stephen Hawking, who falls deeply in love with fellow Cambridge student Jane Wilde. Something unfortunate happens to terribly smart terribly middle class people. They handle it in a terribly dignified terribly middle class way. Eddie's acting is superb but this film is the most biege piece of cinema ever (literally, the cinematographic pallet hardly deviates from it).

Surprisingly funny at times. Deserving of an Oscar for Redmayne but the supporting cast are great too. Period detail pretty much spot on. Expected to be bored but definitely wasn't. Well worth seeing.

About to watch. Would rather rent but can't irritating that it's cheaper to buy on amazon. I'd like to keep my movie collection in one place.
