About this movie

THE THIRTEENTH FLOOR explores the ominous possibility of computer simulated universes, where people only believe they are real. Douglas Hall (Craig Bierko) and his boss, Hannon Fuller (Armin Mueller-Stahl), have re-created 1937 Los Angeles on a computer chip. When Hall awakens to find bloody clothing and the murdered body of his boss in his house, he becomes the prime suspect. His search for the truth brings him to the thirteenth floor, where a beautiful woman (Gretchen Mol) may hold the key to the mystery. (c) 1999 Columbia Pictures Industries , Inc. All Rights Reserved.

If you liked "The Matrix" for the story, and you found "Inception" to be the kind of thing that gave your brain a warm buzz, then this is very much in a similar vein. While never quite making it into the big time of films this is without doubt a brilliant piece of story telling.

I'm sure I've seen this movie someplace else but I can't place where and it's really annoying me.
