About this movie

The Throwaways, a comedic cyber spy thriller follows notorious hacker Drew Reynolds (Sam Huntington, Superman Returns), who is captured by the CIA and given a proposition — work for them or spend the rest of his life in prison. Agreeing on the condition that he can form his own team, he puts together a group of "throwaways" - the people deemed expendable and seemingly the worst in the organization. Led by Lieutenant Colonel Christopher Holden (Academy Award® nominee James Caan, The Godfather) and including gung-ho combat specialist Dan Fisher (Kevin Dillon; TV’s Entourage), The Throwaways have to track and take down a cyber-terrorist who is threatening mass destruction.

The title sums up the whole thing, very disposable. If you need to waste 90 minutes of your life, this one is for you. The story lacks credibility and overall pretty lame. I would like to have my $4.99 back and the time I spent watching. I'm not sure what the producers were aiming to accomplish with this drivel, but I'm pretty sure that they failed. Even if you're into the story of white hat vs black hat computer arts, you will be dissapointed. At one point, the main character uses ethernet cables to create a daisy chain connection to cold war era soviet computers and save the world while the doomsday clock is ticking. Hopefully, by reading this, I've saved you the $4.99 and wast of time.
