The Train

Burt Lancaster plays Labiche, a French railway inspector. Allied forces are threatening to liberate Paris, so Col. Franz von Waldheim (Paul Scofield) is ordered to move the priceless works of art from the Jeu de Paume Museum to the fatherland. The head of the museum (Suzanne Flon) attempts to convince Labiche that he should sabotage the train on which they are transporting the art. After his friend is killed trying to stop the train with the art, and after a consciousness-raising conversation with a hotel owner (Jeanne Moreau), Labiche resolves to save the antiquities.

Soy un Chileno de 56 años y esta película nunca la vi, pero me trae muy lindos recuerdos de mi padre el cual al igual que mi abuelo fueron Ferrocarrileros sumado al echo que a los dos les gustaban mucho de las películas bélicas de la segunda Guerra Mundial como también las legendarias películas del Medio Oeste, de verdad hubiese sido muy lindo poder ver este tipo de cine junto a mi Padre y a mi Abuelo, ya que la calidad es excelente y el servicio que ustedes entregan nos permite recordar y apreciar cine de antaño y de muy buena calidad, seguro continuare siendo un agradecido cliente, gracias señores de Amazon.
