On an uninhabited island, 20 miles from the rugged Scottish coast, three lighthouse keepers arrive for their six-week shift. As Thomas, James, and Donald settle into their usual, solitary routines, something unexpected and potentially life-changing occurs- they stumble upon something that isn’t theirs to keep.

Was ok... not going to lie you see Gerard Butler in a movie line up you usually need to avoid it but this isnt the case this time. Growing up with tales of the lighthouse it had a real oppertunity to fail but it didnt. Good watch with some decent acting in parts. Butler stands out like a sore thumb you spend half the time wondering wether a silly rom com jokes going to pop out. Some real solid casting. Good story. A little slow paced but enjoyable. A healthy 3 stars.

A lot better than I expected. Good acting and get the sense of isolation. Quite tense specially with it being based on true events. Pet gripe though....why do they make films mostly filmed in the dark where it's almost impossible to tell what's happening!
