The Village envelopes you into so many different genres: mystery, suspense, thriller, and drama. It tells a story about human morals and how we, as people, deal with sorrow. Every single word, even from the start, has a meaning and connects to the ultimate theme/story. It's a story about love, hope, faith, and fear. A story with a deeper meaning. A movie that can be watched again and again. A story that can have different themes and endings, as long as you piece the scenes and dialogue together

M. Night. Another movie with a goofy, surprise lackluster ending. The other problem is the wooden dialogue. As with all his directed/written movies, the words feel like they were first written on a page, and then acted to the best of the actor's ability to bring to bring it to life--it just doesn't work. It doesn't have the ring of authenticity. It's just not the way people talk to each other.

There's a part in the middle that just mad me angry right away, but the story is really interesting.....as long as you avoid the last 20 minutes or so. The ending killed the whole thing. It wasn't some amazing twist. It was stupid and annoying. I wish someone had kicked me out of the theater before I saw the end, because it really was good..until then.
