Acerca desta película

Filmmaker M. Night Shyamalan assembles an all-star cast, including Joaquin Phoenix and Sigourney Weaver, Adrien Brody, William Hurt and Bryce Dallas Howard, to bring the thrilling tale of an isolated village confronting the astonishing truth that lies just outside its borders. At first glance, this village seems picture perfect, but this close-knit community lives with the frightening knowledge that creatures reside in the surrounding woods. The evil and foreboding force is so unnerving that none dare venture beyond the borders of the village and into the woods. But when curious, headstrong Lucious Hunt plans to step beyond the boundaries of the town and into the unknown, his bold move threatens to forever change the future of the village.

There's a part in the middle that just mad me angry right away, but the story is really interesting.....as long as you avoid the last 20 minutes or so. The ending killed the whole thing. It wasn't some amazing twist. It was stupid and annoying. I wish someone had kicked me out of the theater before I saw the end, because it really was good..until then.

M. Night. Another movie with a goofy, surprise lackluster ending. The other problem is the wooden dialogue. As with all his directed/written movies, the words feel like they were first written on a page, and then acted to the best of the actor's ability to bring to bring it to life--it just doesn't work. It doesn't have the ring of authenticity. It's just not the way people talk to each other.

Poor Marketing made this great film a "failure", I think it very underrated. The colors are exquisite, and the performances are great.. but the aspect consisting of the best thing about it? James Newton Howard and his absolutely beautiful, divinely composed "Film Score". The Score is the one thing that will stick to you.. and the film wouldn't be the same if it weren't for Howard's music composition. Without it, I really am unsure of how I'd see the film ..it's seriously that good.
