When good-hearted ex-con Wendell Baker (Luke Wilson) lands a job in a retirement home, his dreaming and scheming is finally put to good use, helping the elderly residents take down the hotel's evil head nurse (Owen Wilson). In return, the grateful pensioners do some scheming of their own, advising Wendell on how to win back his longtime girlfriend (Eva Mendes).
