I know people are complaining about the acting but come on it was 1989. It's a great family classic and one I enjoy to this day. Angelica Houston played Eve Ernst (Grand High Witch) with style and grace, it's interesting and different to the Witch films are are used to where they fly on broom sticks, this one is spooky as their disgusted as normal women and working on behalf of the NSPCC (irony) Love it love it love it.

Having watched this many times over the years, although this film is poorly acted throughout and the effects are awful, Im strangely drawn towards it, the idea behind it, and anything with a witch is in worth giving a go. Its charming, but not passable in the modern day film making.
