Sang-hyeon (played by top Korean star Song Kang-ho, of The Host) is a priest who cherishes life; so much so, that he selflessly volunteers for a secret vaccine development project meant to eradicate a deadly virus. When the virus ends up taking the priest, an emergency blood transfusion unwittingly delivers infected blood and turns him into a vampire. Sang-hyeon is now conflicted between the carnal desire for blood and his faith, which forbids him to kill.
