À propos de ce film

From the director of Knocked Up and The 40-Year-Old Virgin comes an unfiltered, comedic look inside the life of an American family. After years of marriage, Pete (Paul Rudd) and Debbie (Leslie Mann) are approaching a milestone meltdown. As they try to balance romance, careers, parents and children in their own hilarious ways, they must also figure out how to enjoy the rest of their lives. Featuring Melissa McCarthy, Jason Segel, Megan Fox, John Lithgow and Albert Brooks, This Is 40 is a candid and heartwarming comedy about the challenges and rewards of marriage and parenthood in the modern age.

Kind of wish I had rented this one over buying. Google going to ever allow us to sell movies back for even partial credit. Even if it were one or two a year that'd be cool. Anyways, the movie was watchable. Just a couple going through their own "getting older" problems. I like that the kept the same family from knocked up - that was coo'.

Normally I love this team, but in this movie the script UTTERLY fails them. A miserable message and/or a very cynical view of what life in a post modern america is like. The central characters are shallow and unappealing. My wife saw this at a mommies and toddlers movie day and the audience lost their sh#t. I caught it on a flight and was surprised by its superficiality. Just not funny. Not funny for adults.

Rented this anticipating a typical Apatow laugh fest. Well, That's what we got for the first half of the movie. Then, abruptly and unexpectedly, this movie took a complete 180 degree turn into a dull, serious and rather depressing tone that it couldn't be rescued from until the credits. I honestly thought i was watching a different movie. Trust me on this. If you're looking for Knocked Up, then watch Knocked Up again. At least that movie maintained a sense of identity and purpose for it's entirety.
