À propos de ce film

In Marvel Studios' Thor: Ragnarok, Thor is imprisoned on the other side of the universe without his mighty hammer and finds himself in a race against time to get back to Asgard to stop Ragnarok - the destruction of his home world and the end of Asgardian civilization at the hands of an all-powerful new threat, the ruthless Hela. But first he must survive a deadly gladiatorial contest that pits him against his former ally and fellow Avenger - the Incredible Hulk!

DIRE! Do not buy/rent this film if you are hoping for something along the lines of the first two excellent films in the THOR line or indeed the Avengers assemble series. This plays like a 'parody' almost 'Monty Python' I cringed throughout and was bitterly disappointed. Sorry to have watched it and had to restore my faith by watching the previous two films in the series again. Hopefully a sequel will be made to try and erase the memory of this awful film. One to be forgotten-and quickly! (Oh and Thor should have Long Hair!!)

First off, this movie does justice to the character, Thor and the Hulk. In the previous films, Thor was the Ok Avenger. He wasn't bad, just wasn't good. But this film truly showed us how cool and baddass Thor really is. After this film, he is defiantly one of my favourite characters in the MCU. Even the Hulk as a character is much more interesting. Banner will always be banner, but I like dhow he, as a human was plungeed into this compltly different world. I also liked how this movie was set in another world and not earth, like the previous Thor films. Howver, it felt a bit too much like Guardians of the Galaxy. It had that exact same vibe and tone the Guarfdians film have. Alot of jokey scenes, with cool visuals. The soundtrack was good in this. But the villian was just AWFUL and bland. I liked the characters in the film, and the plot. But the jokes and the villain were abit too much for me. Maybe they should have limited down a bit on the jokes, then it would have gotten a 5 star review from me. But a great attempt from the MCU.

This movie doesn't work, there seems to be a desire to merge the Thor movies into the vibe of Guardians of the Galaxy. However, this change from the last installment to this is truly unfortunate. The handling of the comedic elements is heavy handed and that negates from the more dramatic moments. There are too many gag roles and it spoils what might have been a more interesting feature. The score for the movie was nice and added value to the film, the performances of Thor, Loki, Heimdall and Hela (and the appearance of Dr Strange) were solid. In terms of the Marvel movies Thor Ragnarok stands alongside Ant-Man and Dr Strange. They are ok, worth a watch but not of the same calibre as GOTG or Winter Soldier.
