When tiny Thumbelina (Jodi Benson) meets Prince Cornelius (Gary Imhoff), it's true love. This is the movie of my childhood. As you usually do with old movies you watched when you were younger, I had forgotten about this movie. However I was on YouTube recently and saw a small clip of it in a video. It instantly sparked my memory and I went searching for the name. When I finally found it a while bunch of memories came flooding back. I remember loving this movie when i was small. The love between Thumbelina and the fairy prince was all my 8 year old heart wanted to see in a movie.

I fondly recall sitting on my parents bed, snuggling my favorite stuffy, and wearing a pair of costume fairy wings, watching my favorite movie... and then rewinding the vhs tape to watch it all over again. This happened several times per day. This movie is such a joy. It was a childhood favorite, and I can honestly say I will never tire of laughing, swooning, and singing along to this fun, family film.

I grew up watching this movie and I loved it so much as a little girl and I even had the doll and I loved the music and I still love it now in my 20's its my favorite animated adaptation of Thumbelina! : ) and I always loved the romance between Thumbelina and Cornelius and the positive message about following our heart. I recently finally bought a Blu-ray copy of the movie too : ) its a classic and I will always love it! : )
