This is my favorite Val Kilmer film. It is a powerful study of conflict between two cultures, with Ray, Kilmer's character, part of both cultures. The performances are stellar and the scenery and history are breathtaking. The score by James Horner is hauntingly beautiful. There is a quiet grace to this film that comes through. I love it.

One of Val Kilmer's best movies! Not only is he sexy as hell, but the whole part was a good one. Very intriguing and suspenseful.
