Till" is a profoundly emotional and cinematic film about the true story of Mamie Till-Mobley's relentless pursuit of justice for her 14-year-old son, Emmett Till, who, in 1955, was lynched while visiting his cousins in Mississippi. In Mamie's poignant journey of grief turned to action, we see the universal power of a mother's ability to change the world. Chinonye Chukwu directs from a screenplay co-written with Michael Reilly & Keith Beauchamp. Danielle Deadwyler, Jalyn Hall, Frankie Faison, Haley Bennett and Whoopi Goldberg star.

A heavy, emotional film with a powerful performance by Danielle Deadwyler as Mamie Till-Mobley, who helped start the Civil Rights Movement. Despite some heavy moments, TILL should be shown to students in middle and high school history classes. TILL was also robbed of Oscar nominations, especially Deadwyler and director Chinonye Chukwu.

This version of Emmett Till was okay, but I liked the "Women of the Movement's" version of Emmett Till "A LOT" better. Because the acting was much better, especially as Mrs. Till and Emmett.

Brilliant & real.
