A new restoration of the classic film by Don Chaffey (Jason and the Argonauts). Small-time crook Martin Radley (Dennis Price) returns after a long absence to discover his wife Barbara (Renee Asherson) has happily remarried to successful publisher John Everton (Patrick Barr), after mistakenly believing that Radley was killed in the Blitz. In need of funds to escape the country after a robbery backfires, Radley blackmails Barbara by offering to keep their marriage quiet in exchange for money. After this plan fails, Radley must up the stakes by demanding more cash to get himself out of trouble.
