I am a Sci Fi fan. Saw Star Wars 244 times in theatre'. I am a long time fan of Star Trek& watched it with my parents as a kid. I thought this would be just Takei's story, his life outside the show. I was right. But he obviously carries a big CHIP on his shoulder over the show that made us care about HIS STORY AT ALL A much better story could have been told. It sounds like a miserable life full of resentment.

A great documentary that really showcases its subject with class and dignity. Takai comes across as a multi-layered, humorous and talented individual with a real passion for making the world a better place.

Please take your time and watch this movie. It is a new and refreshing view of Mr Takei, his life, his curare and how he help move us to see that LGBT life is an orientation and not a choice or a mantle illness.
