Tom and Jerry soar over the rainbow and travel down the yellow brick road in this all-new animated retelling of the classic tale. You'll see your favorite characters: Dorothy, Toto, the Scarecrow, the Tin Man, the Lion, the Wicked Witch of the West, the Wizard, the Munchkins and more. You'll hear many of your favorite songs, including Over the Rainbow. And you'll laugh at the antics of your favorite cat and mouse as they get twisted up in a twister, go paw to paw against flying monkeys and storm the Wicked Witch's castle in a heroic attempt to get Dorothy and Toto (and themselves) safely back to Kansas. After all, there's no place like home!

bad things Like the later Tom and Jerry: Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, the character animation is very laughable and cheap. It copies everything from the 1939 film with little originality or clever spin. For instance, Tuffy the Mouse steals the Cowardly Lion's song and lines. Poor attempts at humor. The Wicked Witch is no longer legitimately terrifying like she was in the original movie, and instead becomes an incredibly lame Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers-style villain. The Wicked Witch's guards are afraid of curtains. The classical songs are completely butchered. Droopy spoils a major plot point of the original movie as he warns the group not to spill water on the Witch. Tuffy the Mouse, who is supposed to be a secondary or supporting character, is forcefully a main character rather than Tom and Jerry. The cover claims that it's an 'original movie' when it's a recreation of a pre-existing film with Tom and Jerry squeezed in. the good things Some of the classic songs from the original aren't butchered like "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" and "The Merry Old Land of OZ". The story stays loyal to the original plot. The voice acting is alright. Unlike Tom and Jerry: The Movie, Tom and Jerry thankfully don't talk nor sing. Droopy as a Winkie captain. Just picture that and it's just funny! Despite copying everything from the original 1939 live-action musical movie, it was produced by the same studio whom owns the rights to the 1939 movie.
