Dustin Hoffman does the definitive drag Diva in this sparkling comic gem. Unlike the easy or vulgar laughs of some inferior gender bender flicks, Hoffman & cast always deliver mature and nuanced performances. Mrs. Doubtfire may have more laughs or shocks, but Tootsie rolls along with more dramatic substance and narrative punch. Easily one of Hoffman's finest hours, and one of 1980's best films.

One of my favorite movies. Hoffman should have gotten an oscar for this. Loved the 'disrobing' scene at tje end. PS I like Terry Garr in anything she does.

Love it! Love it! Love it! If no one got an oscar for this something is totally wrong!Btw I wouldn't check into Southwest General anytime soon!
