Lauren and Ned are engaged, they are in love, and they have just ten days to find Lauren's mother who has gone AWOL somewhere in the remote far north of Australia, reunite her parents and pull off their dream wedding.

The movie is an extended Tourism NT propaganda ad. An easy watch for a quiet night in. No death or gore, maybe one swear word. Positive depiction of Australian aboriginal people. Nice scenery, a third of a story, acceptable acting. Rent, don't buy, you probably won't be watching more than once.

Story could have been better. Beautiful film to look at but relied too much on the beautiful cinematography and didn’t have a strong story to keep you invested. Still worth watching once.

It's so much more than a comedy, it's also a beautiful lesson on family values and tradition in a culture rarely seen outside of itself, the scenery of the N.T was a breathtaking backdrop for this movie, it was very nice to see Alice Springs again too. 👋 Very much worth the money to watch.
