Get ready for the ride of your life! Arnold Schwarzenegger is perfectly cast as Quaid, a 2084 construction worker haunted by dreams of Mars in this crowd-pleasing science fiction spectacle. Against the wishes of his sexy blonde wife (Sharon Stone), Quaid goes to Rekall, a company that implants artificial memories, so he can "remember" visiting the red planet that is now being settled by human inhabitants. However, Quaid is actually an amnesiac secret agent from Mars - or is he?

Superb dystopian view of what happens in a totalitarian out of control dictatorship. I saw a reviewer mention this movie, and Paul Verhovens other ultra violent movies, provide a study of what a fascist dictatorship is like (Ronny Cox as ruler of Mars). Paul saw first hand , as a child, the REAL violence of Nazi occupation in WW2! Reviewer also thought his movies provided a cathartic/purging effect for Paul's trauma - to deal with the horrors of War no child should ever witness!

Classic, violent action sci-fi starring, at the time, the world's biggest action star! The same team that made Robocop made Total Recall and while it's not as superb as Robo, its still a bloody fun good time. See you at the party! 💯

Classic Schwarzenegger betwixt with the over-the-top style of director Paul Verhoeven. Movies of the early 90s didn't get much more fun than this
