As the nation states Euromerica and New Shanghai vie for supremacy, factory worker Doug Quaid begins to suspect that he's a spy, though he is unaware which side of the fight he's on.

When I read other reviews I thought this movie was going to suck but it wasn't that bad. There was a lack of atmosphere in the city streets, no smoke or fumes etc. Looks like after a world war we finally beat pollution :-)

If you expect this film to be like the original you'll be disappointed. If however, you judge this as a film in its own right you'll find it full of great action scenes and gripping plot twists.

Do yourself a favour and just watch the (absolutely brilliant) original. Didn't pay to watch it and still felt unbelievably cheated.
