Set in a world where toys have a life of their own when people are not present, Toy Story takes moviegoers on a fantastic fun-filled journey, viewed mostly through the eyes of two rival toys - Woody (Tom Hanks), a pull-string talking cowboy, and Buzz Lightyear (Tim Allen), a superhero space action-figure. The comically-mismatched duo eventually learn to put aside their differences when circumstances separate them from their owner, Andy, and they find themselves on a hilarious adventure-filled mission where the only way they can survive is to form an uneasy alliance.

I agree the animation is great. But the biggest problem with this filming is woody and buzzes relationship. Also the tone of the story is just to mean spirited! However small kids will love this even more, because it's more for them than for someone like me. Also I haven't grew up watching the first toy story movie. You might say it's the best pixar films, but I go more for inside out.

Well I own all three of these movies and I enjoy it, I don't watch it again and again like I do other Disney movies. maybe once a year. I watch it again always when another edition of it is coming out . It's essential if you're a Disney movie collector its just not my top rated Disney must have movie. Kids do enjoy it. Lots of nostalgic references for adults who watched a movie with their kids.

I may be alone on this, but I enjoyed the Super Nintendo game, which I have played through entirely, more than the actual movie. The first half is okay, but it starts to get old and boring after the Pizza Planet scene...but graphically the movie was incredibly well made. I never wasted my time with Toy Story 2 or 3...
