About this movie

Simon (James McAvoy), a fine art auctioneer, teams up with a criminal gang to steal a work of art worth millions of dollars, but after suffering a blow to the head during the heist he wakes to discover that he has no memory of where he has hidden the painting. When physical threats and torture fail to produce answers, the gang's leader (Vincent Cassel) hires a hypnotherapist (Rosario Dawson) to delve into the darkest recesses of Simon's psyche. Ratings and reviews

This promises too much in the first 20 minutes and fails to deliver what could have been an excellent film. That said, it is watchable and worth a look if you're struggling to decide on a movie to watch. My wife would have given it a 4 out of 5. I gave it 3 because it missed some good opportunities.

It starts out well, but tries to be smart by throwing too many ridiculous plot twists into the story that it loses focus. And then it ends so poorly leaving you thinking "was that it?"

Watched this at the cinema and I won't be wasting my time and money watching it again. I implore you to do the same... No really, don't put yourself through it.
