About this movie

A satirical dramedy based on novels by famous Soviet writer Vasily Shukshin. Nikolai Knyazev lives in a small provincial seaside town and works in an ordinary TV repair workshop, but his hobbies are very unusual - inventing and thinking. His heart and mind are wholly engrossed by 2 "great" ideas: the creation of a fundamental work on a just state and the invention of a perpetual motion machine.
