Whilst investigating a series of suspicious bear killings, a group of students trail a mysterious 'hunter'. But they soon learn there are far more dangerous and mystical creatures than mere bears...

Gerade der Anfang ist sehr spannend, da die Studenten noch nichts wissen und auf eigene Faust den Trolljäger aufspüren. Auch interessant ist wie Hans Ihnen über die Lebensweise, Arten, das Geheimhalten der Trolle, seinen Job und das Absichern der Reviere erklärt. Im weiteren Verlauf wird der Film aber immer schlechter. Die Trolle sind wie im Kindermärchen dargestellt. Sehr schwach fand ich die Reaktion der Anderen auf den Tod von Kalle. Normal wäre zu erwarten dass die Gruppe das Projekt dann aufgibt und Kalle nicht einfach ersetzt. Zudem war es auch sehr fahrlässig von Hans, der davor sehr viel Acht auf die Studenten gegeben hat, dass sie überhaupt in die Höhle gehen, wenn es klar ist das dort Trolle hausen ( ach wenn sie jetzt nicht in der Höhle sind). Gerade solche "Kleinigkeiten" machen die Story halt überhaupt nicht schlüssig.

Firstly its in Norwegian with subtitles which it clearly doesn't state in the information so you spend more time reading than actually watching the film. The only decent actor is the troll hunter himself but even his part is rather pathetic at times, not much I can say about the other actors. Norway clearly isn't brimming with talent. The story line is pretty poor and I would take it more as a comedy than a horror or thriller because if you take it too seriously you just won't enjoy it. Don't bother watchin

Slow to start, trolls are not seen till perhaps over 1/2 way into film, but that works with the story, (and prob budget) once they arrive they are awesome. Eponymous hunter himself is pure class, stoic, laconic, harder than nails, a ladies man in spite of his eau' de troll, and fed up!
