Interesting idea to make story about how the rich can also be ridiculed by those that are different from them (by people of low to middle class status). The main theme seems to be that the wealthy are considered either out of touch or prone to give up easily while the rich people just want to earn the respect of those that doubt them and to feel like they belong. This movie ok, but is very of-it's-time (early 1990's) and feels incredibly dated.

Funny, light, and positive message. Shelly Long in one of her greatest IMHO.

Growing up in the 80's I must've watched this movie a million times. Fabulous movie that young teens of today and any women who grew up in the 80's will love.
