About this movie

In this dramatic comedy, Maggie (Anjelica Huston) and Ben (Bill Pullman) are middle-aged siblings who were given equal halves of their father's land upon his death. Though perpetual screw-up Ben sold his half years ago to his more responsible sister, he is now doing everything he can to get back. And Maggie is doing everything she can to get him off her property. Also starring Julia Stiles, David Morse and Brian D'Arcy James, this family drama directed by Pulitzer-nominated playwright Theresa Rebeck is a gratifying tale of decades-long sibling conflict.

The film didn't scratch the surface of any real emotion. Combined with the unenthusiastic acting, the film was colorless and tedious to sit through.

Sibling rivalry on the big screen, an all to familiar real life story, some of us have been there and done it.
