Brad Pitt picks up a sword and brings a muscular, brooding presence to the role of Greek warrior Achilles in this spectacular retelling of The Iliad. Orlando Bloom and Diane Kruger play the legendary lovers who plunge the world into war, Eric Bana portrays the prince who dares to confront Achilles, and Peter O'Toole rules Troy as King Priam. Director Wolfgang Petersen recreates a long-ago world of bireme warships, clashing armies, the massive fortress city and the towering Trojan Horse. MPAA Rating: NOTRATED (c) 2004 Warner Bros. Ent. I don't understand how this piece of garbage is so god damn highly rated. Brad Pitt is so effing BORING and wooden. I wanted to crawl through the screen and punch him in the balls just to see if he would make a different facial expression. I stupidly sat there for hours hoping it would get better but nope. Was hoping for an epic adventure but got massive disappointment. The music wasn't terrible so there's that. I love how butthurt people get when you point out how awful this movie is lol.

Yes. It differs from the story written in The Iliad, which contains the mythical gods meddling with both sides. Even make Hector look braver than he was when confronting Achilles. In Iliad Hector is begged by his bare breasted mother to view her breast and recall how she cared for him. Then there is part where Hector is chased around the wall of Troy three times. :-) Just those two things alone missing made the movie a lot more worthy of man-movie status.

Hollywood, when are you going to wake up and see that Orlando Bloom ruins each and every movie he's in. He's an infection that brings down the quality of the even seasoned actors surrounding him....he is a one note wonder too because he's the same character in every movie, he has no range. Orlando, don't you have enough money and time to go to acting school?
